Position Summary

Under general supervision, the Field Operations Coordinator assists professionals in executing routine operational tasks specific to the oil and gas sector. This role is pivotal in overseeing well operations, conducting well testing, and ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of field equipment and facilities. The Coordinator provides essential operational support based on their area of expertise, which may include calibrating equipment, performing routine troubleshooting, and possessing a foundational understanding of production optimization tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor general field operations and maintain various databases related to production activities.
  • Provide technical and mechanical support to production teams as needed.
  • Prepare and manage tickets, work orders, and administrative reports to analyze trends and support operational recommendations.
  • Gather field data, assess it, and propose enhancements for well performance.
  • Comprehend oil and gas flow operations and the associated equipment.
  • Ensure that all tasks are executed with the highest quality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with operators to schedule and review specialized tasks.
  • Implement quality assurance processes with on-site contractors.
  • Timely preparation and management of work orders.
  • Identify and report any abnormal or hazardous conditions related to surface production equipment.
  • Conduct business with the utmost ethical standards, ensuring safety for all personnel involved.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Familiarity with discipline-specific software tools relevant to the role is essential, including but not limited to: Reservoir Management (Aries, HIS), Drilling Operations (Well View, AFE Navigator), Completions (Well View), and Facilities Management (Oceaneering ACET, eMaint CMMS). The ability to adapt to other related applications such as AVM, SAP, and Spotfire is also necessary.

Role-Specific Knowledge & Skills

The Field Operations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and installing communication devices, ensuring successful data transmission, and supporting field operations through preventive maintenance and monitoring of network devices. This role involves tracking workload, documenting troubleshooting efforts, and implementing corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate understanding of communication troubleshooting, including TCP/IP and RS485 Modbus Network Connectivity.
  • Entry-level knowledge of automation to correlate device configurations with graphical interfaces.
  • Ability to identify the function and importance of various devices within the facility process.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is advantageous.
