KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the preparation and dismantling of catering functions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently during catering events.
  • Ensure the safe and proper return of catering supplies post-events.
  • Conduct inventory checks of supplies and equipment, promptly reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Prepare comprehensive service and delivery lists for upcoming events.
  • Manage all inventory tasks, including paper products, linens, and dishware.
  • Maintain the proper storage and upkeep of all equipment and supplies, ensuring an organized appearance in storage areas.
  • Assist with loading and unloading supplies and equipment for events.
  • Facilitate the collection of items from food service areas for return to the catering storage.
  • Load and unload catering transport vehicles.
  • Support the stocking of delivered products.
  • Adhere to all company policies and comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding employment, safety, and health.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required, along with at least six months of experience in food service or retail environments, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Essential skills include strong interpersonal abilities, self-motivation, organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.

A Food Handler's certificate from the relevant authority is preferred.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Must possess the ability to read, write, and comprehend English. This includes following verbal and written instructions, as well as interpreting general business information. Effective communication with customers and colleagues in a professional manner is required.

MATH SKILLS:

Basic mathematical skills are necessary, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense to carry out general instructions and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

MANUAL DEXTERITY:

Proficiency in using a computer and various office and food service equipment is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be capable of standing for extended periods and handling objects, including cooking tools and equipment. The ability to lift or carry heavy items, up to 50 pounds, is essential. Specific visual abilities include close vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position involves working in a food production area, which may be dimly lit and humid, with exposure to food odors and airborne particles. Occasional work near moving machinery and exposure to cleaning chemicals may occur. Outdoor work may be required, with exposure to varying weather conditions.

BACKGROUND CHECK:
