Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Colonial Downs + Rosie's Gaming Emporium. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to our HR team, ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide next-level guest service to internal and external guests, demonstrating our company culture in all interactions.
  • Foster an environment of support and motivation for team members, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information, adhering to established procedures and company policies.
  • Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, greeting team members, creating and maintaining reports, and HRIS data entry.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including scheduling candidates for licensing and orientation, preparing orientation packets, and setting up training space.
  • Provide customer service functions, answering team member requests and questions, and escalating requests to the position supervisor as necessary.
  • Maintain an appropriate level of supply inventory for the Human Resources offices, ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
  • Distribute uniforms and accurately track uniform inventory.
  • Assist with planning and executing team member engagement initiatives, including anniversary, birthday, and promotional announcements.
  • May be required to travel up to 10% of the time to other properties and facilities.
  • Resolve problems within the scope of authority and recommend courses of action to resolve problems beyond the scope of authority to the position supervisor.
  • Keep the position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
  • Obtain and retain required licenses.
  • Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gaming.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the team member may have knowledge.
Position Qualifications

High School diploma or GED certificate, plus three (3) years in a related field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, or equivalent, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas. Must have a working understanding of human resources practices and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Must be able to function well in a high-paced environment.
