POSITION SUMMARY
This role serves as a key expert in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. It is essential for supporting the operational maintenance of production equipment and utilities for continuous manufacturing processes.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Conducts responsibilities in alignment with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Exercises limited discretion in deviating from established protocols.

Possesses foundational work experience with basic concepts and procedures.

Operates under general supervision.

Executes routine tasks at the entry level of the Professional Career Band.

Gains proficiency through structured work assignments.

Utilizes existing protocols to address standard or routine issues.

Familiar with PLC programming, automation, and AI technologies.

Engages in troubleshooting of automated equipment.

Implements planned maintenance and corrective work orders.

Provides support for equipment, utilities, and process troubleshooting/repairs.

Manages multiple small-scale projects related to new equipment, upgrades, facility modifications, and utility infrastructure.

Prepares technical documents, updates standard operating procedures, and manages change controls.

Offers ongoing assistance to maintenance personnel in resolving complex issues, understanding failure modes, and devising technical solutions for facility control equipment.

Implements safe work practices and process controls to ensure the secure operation of equipment and facilities.

May involve conducting job hazard analyses, failure fault trees, and risk assessments to foster a workplace focused on injury prevention and continuous safety processes.

Developed financial models to aid in decision-making and strategic planning.

Conducted financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to align with business objectives.

Assessed business performance and identified areas for enhancement.

Provided analytical support for key initiatives, including sales, operations, and capital investment efforts.

Collaborated with cross-functional teams to formulate and execute automation strategies.

Created and implemented plans to optimize scheduling efficiencies to support business operations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that meets the position's requirements will be considered.

Education/Certification/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience or an Associate Degree with 8 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

1-3 years of experience in Automation.

Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems for tracking maintenance activities.

PLC experience or certification is advantageous.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.

Knowledge of Operational Excellence is beneficial.

Experience with compliance-related documentation is a plus.

Project management experience is advantageous.

Core Essential Skill Sets:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Automation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot automated equipment.
  • Experience with equipment upgrades or modifications to enhance efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environment, or an Associate Degree with 8 years of experience in a similar setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
