Work Schedule: Fulltime, Monday - Thursday, 6am - 4:20pm

  • Responds promptly to maintenance requests, utilizing available resources to effectively troubleshoot and ensure the operational readiness and safety of the company’s machinery and systems.
  • Conducts all tasks in accordance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Assists the production team with machinery setups as required to meet daily operational targets.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment, free from debris and hazards.
  • Operates, calibrates, and performs upkeep on packaging machinery, including tablet counters, conveyors, printers, cartoners, and other related equipment to ensure adherence to established protocols.
  • Engages in record-keeping activities (CMMS) by documenting maintenance tasks performed and noting any unusual operational conditions.
  • Conducts various assessments on mechanical and electrical systems (Amperage, Volts, resistance).
  • Enhances departmental efficiency by providing insights and actively participating as a collaborative team member to achieve collective goals and objectives.
  • Comprehends and applies Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and ensures all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Evaluates machinery and equipment performance, executing repairs and replacements as necessary.
  • Assists in the installation of new machinery.
  • Performs repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required; an associate degree, Trade School Certificate, or Military Technical Training is advantageous. Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Formal education or training in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and welding disciplines, with 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the maintenance field, ideally within a GMP environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
  • Ability to produce legible documentation and perform precise record-keeping.
  • Strong foundational math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, capable of following directives and managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols related to lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer systems for maintenance management.
