Position Overview:
Delaware Nation Industries is in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Lead.
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in our commitment to providing proactive security oversight and incident management services.
An Active Secret clearance is a mandatory requirement.
A Security+ Certification is also required.
This role is strictly onsite.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, 401K, paid time off, and vacation pay.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the monitoring of security event notifications generated by various cybersecurity tools.
2. Conduct thorough investigations and analyses of security incidents to ascertain root causes and potential impacts.
3. Document and escalate incidents in accordance with established protocols.
4. Lead a team of Tier 1 SOC analysts in the vigilant monitoring of security alerts and prompt incident response.
5. Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to Tier 1 analysts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and compliance with SOC protocols.
6. Supervise the initial triage and analysis of security alerts produced by monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection systems, etc.).
7. Collaborate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 SOC teams for escalated incident management and resolution.
8. Maintain and enhance SOC documentation, procedures, and operational playbooks.
9. Stay informed about emerging threats, attack vectors, and advancements in cybersecurity technologies.
Required Qualifications:
1. Active Secret Security Clearance is essential.
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent professional experience.
3. Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity within a SOC environment.
4. In-depth knowledge of security incident management and response protocols.
5. Practical experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
7. Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
9. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar are advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience in security incident response and management.
2. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
3. Basic scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
4. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their associated security measures.
