Job Title: Junior Accountant

About the Role:

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for performing daily Nostro and bond reconciliation, monitoring G/L movement, and preparing financial reports for the Controllers Department. This role will work closely with the designated reviewer to ensure the accuracy and adequacy of the reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in month-end/term-end book closing and reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
  2. Prepare accounting adjustments for ATLAS G/L.
  3. Prepare reports to control/monitor ATLAS G/L movement.
  4. Prepare regulatory reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  5. Prepare daily Bond/Nostro reconciliation using ATLAS download and external information.
  6. Prepare monthly management information on Reconciliation.
  7. Collect and file Bank's Financial/Regulatory/Tax Record in an orderly manner.
  8. Prepare financial & non-financial information to be used by Tax Return preparer.
  9. Collect and file the Bank's tax record in orderly manner.
  10. Document report preparation procedure.
  11. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or a related field.
  2. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  4. Excellent mathematical skills.
  5. Detail-oriented with the willingness to acquire working knowledge in quality control and volume processing to deliver sound financial statements.

The anticipated salary range for this role is listed above. The specific salary offered to an employment applicant is based on the individual's qualifications, experiences, the job responsibilities, an analysis of the current compensation paid for similar roles in the local geographic area, and key distinctions of the job as compared to current jobs in the Branch. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
