Certified Surgical Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Mary Washington Hospital. As a CST, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique
  • Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe procedures
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with sterilization and decontamination procedures
  • Knowledge of equipment documentation and aseptic technique
  • Ability to work with flexible endoscopes and other specialized equipment
