Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Children's National Health System. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the operating room, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures
  • Maintain aseptic technique and follow infection control protocols
  • Count and verify surgical instruments and supplies
  • Participate in the development and implementation of surgical procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of a surgical technologist program or equivalent experience
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail. The Surgical Technologist must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
