Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Children's National Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique and sterile field
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe procedures
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
  • Graduate of a surgical technologist program
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA)
  • 1+ year of experience in a surgical setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a pediatric surgical setting
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and surgical software
  • Basic life support certification
