About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Animal Clinic East. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures, diagnostic tests, and treatments
- Obtain health histories from clients and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, restock medical supplies, and advance your knowledge and skills
- Work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality patient care and exceptional client service
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting, preferred
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle stress calmly, and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds and work on feet most of the day
