JOB SUMMARY FOR SPECIALTY MEDICATION AUTHORIZATION NURSE:

  • Facilitate the processing and communication of prior authorization (PA) requests for specialty medications as managed by the Specialty Medical Prior Authorization team.
  • Collaborate with healthcare provider office personnel and various departments including customer service, admissions, and pharmacy operations to relay updates on prior authorization status.
  • Supervise fax processing and offer telephone support for prescriber office staff, pharmacies, and members in accordance with program guidelines.
  • Ensure comprehensive and precise documentation of all essential information, which will involve data entry, management, and reporting within computer systems.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE POSITION:

  • Work hours may vary, with shifts scheduled from Sunday to Saturday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM CST.
  • This is a fully remote position available only to candidates located in the USA.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after a designated period of employment.
  • A 401(k) plan with company matching contributions is available for full-time employees after one year of service on eligibility dates.
  • The hourly wage for this position is $37.17, with weekly payments.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:

  • Possession of an active LPN License in the state of residence.
  • Experience in Prior Authorization and/or Utilization Review, along with call center experience in a health plan or specialty pharmacy is mandatory.
  • Access to high-speed internet is required.
  • Ability to work autonomously from home with minimal oversight.
  • Proficiency in computer usage is essential.
