Job Summary

The In-Room Dining Supervisor is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our In-Room Dining department. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of In-Room Dining Associates to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development of Associates to maintain high performance standards.
  • Recognize and reward outstanding performance, while addressing any performance issues in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Prepare and submit reports on production, requisitions, and supply distribution.
  • Collaborate with the In-Room Dining Manager to optimize scheduling and labor costs.
  • Ensure the department area is properly set up, with all mise en place ready for orders.
  • Inspect daily set-up, presentation, and delivery of amenities to maintain high standards.
  • Control the order load of In-Room Dining Servers to ensure efficient service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized In-Room Dining area, adhering to hotel standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen to address special requests and needs.
  • Deliver guest orders and amenities with 100% accuracy and in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in In-Room Dining at an upscale hotel required.
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess required state/local compliance certifications.
  • Ability to participate in a learning environment.
Physical Requirements

This role requires standing and walking for extended periods, with the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing are also required.
