Position Overview:

This role is essential for the safe loading and unloading of fiberglass swimming pools from production to their final destination.

The individual will assist in escorting oversized loads, ensuring a smooth transit by monitoring traffic conditions, guiding the CDL driver, and maintaining a safe distance from any potential obstacles during transport.

The escort will receive instructions directly from the CDL driver and is subject to random drug testing.


Key Responsibilities:


The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Executing all tasks related to the loading and delivery of swimming pools while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Understanding and following state permits to effectively guide the CDL driver to the designated location.
  • Communicating clearly with the CDL driver regarding traffic and any obstacles encountered.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle, both inside and out.
  • Obtaining necessary state certifications as required.
  • Assisting the driver with securing the pool load.
  • Completing annual defensive driving training.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle.
  • Proficiency in using a GPS system and making necessary route adjustments.
  • Willingness to travel overnight, including multiple nights when necessary.
  • Capability to read and adhere to all regulations pertaining to escorting oversized loads.
  • Physical stamina for prolonged periods of sitting/driving and the ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds.
