Principal Environmental Qualification Responsible Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Qualification Responsible Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems. This position will be based in Melbourne, FL, and will be responsible for ensuring the environmental qualification of our systems and subsystems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement environmental qualification plans and procedures
- Conduct environmental qualification testing and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental qualification requirements are met
- Present environmental qualification results to internal and external customers
- Author and review technical documents related to environmental qualification
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited university
- 5 years of related professional/military experience in engineering
- Active DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Top Secret Security Clearance
- Special program access
- In-depth knowledge of governing standards such as MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160
- Experience with avionics thermal and/or vibration analysis and related software
- Experience designing avionics from a mechanical perspective
- General familiarity with overall integration of all aircraft systems
Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $92,600 - $139,000, as well as a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
