We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead/Engineering Manager to join our team at YOPESO Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, focusing on quality and speed in your own team and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scope and own a problem space, articulate and develop fact-based argumentation and present it to senior management.
- Prioritize and optimize for highest speed in execution.
- Take calculated risks, anchor with different stakeholders and articulate short and long-term consequences.
- Continuously develop relationships between product, engineering, and key stakeholders across all domains.
- Influence and drive software design discussions.
- Act swiftly to change of direction, re-evaluate priorities, and steer the team accordingly.
- Contribute on a hands-on manner to writing code and reviewing code written by the engineering team.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an engineer.
- 2+ years of experience as a lead/staff/principal/engineering manager.
- Hands-on experience with Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineering Management experience with distributed teams.
- Experience working in larger size companies.
- Software Architecture experience.
- Previous experience in FinTech.
- Fluent English is a must.
