About the Role

The Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production units, focusing on troubleshooting, increasing operational effectiveness, and efficiency. This position oversees equipment resources, debottlenecking, resolves performance gaps, and production loss accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure maximum unit availability in a safe and economical manner by providing support to plant personnel, interfacing with Supply Chain, and SAP Data Owner.
  • Provide off-hours coverage and support when necessary.
  • Ensure the unit meets all ISO, PSM, and other external and internal regulatory requirements, including SOP and safety.
  • Participate in PHAs, HAZOP's, execute MOCs, investigate incidents, and own closure of appropriate action items.
  • Support Tactical Production Engineering Needs by collecting and analyzing unit operating data, conducting routine checks, performing Complex Trouble-Shooting/Debottlenecking/Root Cause Analyses, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide primary interface with Supply Chain resources as subject matter expert and oversee production plan development.
  • Support unit outage and turnaround activities, including coordination with Supply Chain Teams.
Requirements
  • BS/MS Degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Chemical Engineering, or BS/MS in a Technical degree with 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Process & Production Safety Management.
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Codes & Standards such as ASME, API, NEC, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement long-term strategies focused on reliability improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Concepts as they apply to manufacturing systems.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified, Black Belt Certification a strong plus.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Eligibility

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
