Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the laundering of bed linens and towels.
- Identify and report any safety risks or infection control concerns to the supervisor.
- Change and maintain client linens as necessary.
- Ensure thorough cleanliness and sanitation of all facility areas, including kitchens and restrooms.
- Coordinate daily cleaning tasks with the nursing staff in patient living and recreational spaces.
- Regularly check exit routes to ensure they are unobstructed and accessible.
- Safely transport waste and hazardous materials to designated disposal locations.
- Conduct routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical spaces, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and hallways, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Adhere to established quality standards while performing job functions.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet departmental goals and foster positive employee relations.
- Utilize common sense to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with established procedures.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Assist visitors with directions as needed.
This is a part-time role with scheduled shifts on specific weekdays.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Completion of 8th grade, high school diploma, or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a residential setting.
- Maintain a respectful and positive demeanor in all professional interactions.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Basic computer skills are required.
