We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Consultant to join our team at CNA Financial Corporation. As an Underwriting Consultant, you will play a critical role in evaluating and managing risk for our commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough underwriting reviews to determine the acceptability of risk in accordance with CNA's guidelines and standards.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our commercial insurance products and services, including General Liability, Property, Inland Marine, Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation, and Umbrella.
- Collaborate with producers and other stakeholders to identify cross-sell opportunities and develop comprehensive insurance solutions for our clients.
- Manage and optimize producer performance to achieve gross written premium, profitability, rate, retention, product mix, new business, and portfolio management goals.
- Stay up-to-date on state and territory issues, regulations, and trends to ensure compliance and minimize exposure.
- 3+ years of related experience in underwriting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of underwriting processes, coverages, and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to exercise judgment, negotiate, and make sound business decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
