Position Overview


The Construction Quality Control Specialist plays a crucial role in preparing testing documentation for piping systems and conducting inspections across mechanical, civil, electrical, and structural domains.

Key responsibilities include the preparation of turnover documentation and managing special projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspect and validate fieldwork in accordance with project specifications and drawings.
2. Oversee activities that impact quality assurance.
3. Prepare turnover documentation and coordinate tasks necessary for project completion across various trades.
4. Review and supervise the placement and inspection/testing of construction materials.
5. Analyze reports related to grades, dimensions, and elevations.
6. Schedule and monitor all welding tests for applicants and current employees, if applicable.
7. Review and approve submissions from contractors and subcontractors.
8. Ensure compliance with site/client standards throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Complete all necessary Construction Completion documentation for each trade.
10. Uphold safety protocols and regulations at all stages to foster a positive safety culture, emphasizing a safety-first mindset during all activities.
11. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or quality control preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial construction and quality control.
- Ability to obtain Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification or meet Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) requirements if certification is not held; willingness to pursue necessary training.
- Extensive knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong decision-making skills and sound judgment.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proven organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving skills and implementation of solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, customer specifications, Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), and Flow Charts.
- Experience in promoting a positive safety culture.
- Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
