Job Overview

This role encompasses two primary responsibilities: driving new business sales and managing existing client accounts.

New Business Development

  1. Generate sales leads utilizing various tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo.
  2. Engage in cold calling to secure appointments for introducing Mitsubishi Cable products, employing effective cold calling strategies.
  3. Reach out to potential clients through networking and other non-cold calling methods to set up meetings.
  4. Deliver presentations and articulate the benefits of Mitsubishi Cable products during customer meetings, with comprehensive training provided upon hiring.
  5. Prepare detailed reports following customer visits, outlining achievements and necessary follow-up actions.
  6. Ensure timely and thorough follow-up on all action items from customer interactions, coordinating with internal teams and managing personal tasks effectively. Proficiency in Japanese is essential for communication with the parent company in Japan.
  7. Develop and maintain a strategic plan to nurture leads into long-term business relationships.
  8. Foster strong interpersonal connections with both clients and internal colleagues.

Account Management

Collaborate with team members to address various tasks and resolve issues related to current accounts, including:

  1. Drafting effective requests to clients for new tooling implementations while adhering to stringent industry standards.
  2. Negotiating customer claims regarding reported defective parts, ensuring clear communication, especially when parts meet specifications.
  3. Creating internal documentation in Japanese for specification updates, quote requests, and sample production inquiries.
  4. Quarterly review of customer specification documents to identify any changes and manage the internal response process.
  5. Conducting sales activities for new products to existing clients, including negotiation of specifications and pricing.

Required Qualifications

  1. Fluency in both Japanese and English, with native-level Japanese proficiency for business communication and strong English skills for sales activities.
  2. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in sales or marketing within the high-tech sector.
  3. Familiarity with the semiconductor industry, particularly in sealing, is preferred.
  4. A Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
