Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled General Ledger Accountant to join our team at Hueman PE Talent Solutions. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing general ledger accounting duties, as well as participating in and driving the organization's overall strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and Reconcile Financial Transactions: Accurately record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile Accounts Monthly: Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Assist in Month-End Closing Processes: Assist in all month-end closing processes within the company's closing deadlines.
  • Generate and Analyze Financial Records: Generate and analyze financial records and data for the organization.
  • Collaborate with Financial Roles: Collaborate with other financial roles within the organization and other departments as necessary.
  • Ensure Compliance: Support and ensure compliance with all state and local tax requirements.
  • Coordinate with Controller: Coordinate with the controller the weekly cash flow updates.
  • Develop Processes: Develop processes to maximize full efficiency of the accounting system.
  • Assist with ERP Financial Conversion: Assist with ERP Financial conversion to consolidate financial reporting into one system.
  • Support External Auditors: Support and prepare documentation for External Auditors.
  • Assist with Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes and perform analysis against actual performance.
  • Coordinate Accounting Procedures: Assist in coordinating and implementing accounting procedures for any new company acquisitions.
Job Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a General Ledger Accountant, required.
  • Education: 4-year degree in accounting, required.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with QuickBooks, JP Morgan Chase, Expensify, and NetSuite.
  • Software Skills: Ability to work in Microsoft Office and Google Spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Process Improvement: Experience identifying and implementing process improvements and lead change management efforts.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Work Ethic: Display strong work ethic and teamwork.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work over 40 hours when needed and travel occasionally.
