Job Overview

Qualifications:

Role Objective:
The Phone Support Technician's main duty is to deliver installation, troubleshooting, diagnostic, repair, and maintenance assistance, ensuring complete customer satisfaction and optimal machine performance. A customer-centric approach and strong problem-solving abilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repair guidance through telephone support.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for all field service inquiries via phone for customers and colleagues.
  • Assess, analyze, and resolve machine issues over the phone with minimal supervision.
  • Take responsibility and use independent judgment to evaluate, diagnose, and provide timely solutions to customer concerns.
Technical Skills:
  • Interpret and implement electrical schematic drawings and interconnection diagrams, adjusting control system parameters as necessary.
  • Diagnose and identify potential causes of equipment malfunctions or failures, recommending repairs to restore functionality.
  • Deliver remote training to customers and, occasionally, other employees, focusing on methods to enhance machinery performance and optimize usage.
  • Effectively document and communicate strategies, problems, and solutions verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain accurate records of service and installation activities.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical machine issues.
  • Minimum Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical wiring.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork capabilities.
  • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with specifications required for product manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
