Job Overview

Position: English Substitute Educators - Elementary K-5

Role Summary:

The role involves executing the established lesson plans of the regular classroom teacher during their absence, while ensuring a secure and productive learning atmosphere. Please note that there are no guaranteed hours per week for these positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check in with the Front Desk or Administrative Assistant upon arrival at the school
  • Maintain established classroom routines
  • Take on the responsibilities of the regular classroom teacher by following their lesson plans and the school's curriculum
  • Supervise student conduct during class time and other activities
  • Keep accurate records as required
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures applicable to regular teachers
  • Communicate effectively with the regular teacher and school administration
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • A "Substitute Teacher Authorization" from the Colorado Department of Education is preferred.
