Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Associate to join our team at Springboard Hospitality. As a Housekeeping Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas. Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas.
  • Strip beds, remove soiled linen, and take it to the appropriate locations.
  • Check under beds and sofas for debris, clean bedroom/closet area, and make beds.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors to ensure guest room areas, balconies, and hallways are free from debris.
  • Dust furniture, lamps, headboards, pictures, planters, and chimneys.
  • Clean bathroom counters, floors, showers, and tubs.
  • Report any missing or found articles, damage, or maintenance problems to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Receive assigned section, keys, supplies, and any priority requests from the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Respond to guests, managers, and fellow associates in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner.
  • Adapt to workload based on hotel occupancy.
  • Multitask, organize, and prioritize tasks on an hourly and daily basis.
  • Work well with others in a team environment.
  • Work well under time constraints, remaining calm and clear-thinking.
  • Perform job duties with attention to detail, speed, and efficiency.
  • Follow directions effectively.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in hospitality preferred or equivalent establishment.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office and web analytics tools.
  • High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures.
  • Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to Supervisor.
  • Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the Associate Handbook.
  • Must be service-oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to guests, management, and coworkers and read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Must be energetic and outgoing.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to understand and work with basic financial information and solve basic arithmetic problems.
  • Must be able to type 45 wpm and have the ability to input data and access information on the computer.
  • Must have proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Opera; preferred.
  • Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretion.
