Position Overview

Schnackel Engineers, Inc. is on the lookout for a skilled AutoCAD/Revit Technician who is eager to apply their engineering knowledge and skills in a transformative role within the MEP/FP/IT engineering sector.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, MEP/FP/IT design teams, and other consultants to ensure alignment with the client's vision, resolve conflicts, and maintain a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design.
  • Engage in meetings and conference calls as necessary.
  • Familiarize yourself with relevant codes applicable to projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other software to produce comprehensive construction document packages.
  • Establish and uphold company standards, protocols, and execution methods for AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Modify architectural CAD/BIM files for MEP design drawings, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
  • Assist design teams in preparing response letters.
  • Prepare projects for client submissions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow team members.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of or ability to obtain an Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting or Architectural Engineering.
  • A minimum of two years of experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Proficiency in modifying client CAD/BIM files for MEP design applications.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently upon receiving necessary guidance.
