Structural Drafter

Coreslab Structures Omaha Inc is seeking a highly skilled Structural Drafter to join our team. As a key member of our design and drafting department, you will be responsible for creating and checking construction drawings, coordinating with project stakeholders, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Drafting: Prepare and check construction drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
- Project Coordination: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project information, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all drafting and design equipment is properly maintained and updated to meet company standards.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and new technologies to enhance drafting and design skills.
- Education: Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role.
- Skills: Proficiency in drafting software applications (AutoCAD/Revit), mathematics (algebra and geometry), and reading contract documents and drawings.
- Experience: Minimum of [insert experience] years of experience in structural drafting and design, preferably in the precast concrete industry.
- Certifications: Possess all required company training and certification before operating any machinery, equipment, or tools.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines. The employee may be exposed to various work environments, including moving mechanical/electrical parts and equipment, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, metal preservatives, oils, chemicals, and greases, loud noises, heat/cold/wet conditions, and working above ground.
Physical DemandsThe employee must be able to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or twist, talk and hear, see and focus. The employee must regularly lift and/or move heavy objects, up to and exceeding 25 pounds.
