Job Summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Transmission System Planning department. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the historic transformation of the electric power system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed technical modeling and analysis to inform long-range planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and perform reliability and strategic scenario-based planning driven studies to assess existing and forecast system conditions.
  • Develop and implement robust, reliable, and low-cost solutions to meet the needs of the electric system.
  • Interface with regional and industry stakeholders to understand and mitigate electric system needs and challenges.
  • Document and communicate results and recommendations through data manipulation, report writing, and summary presentations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in engineering or science field required; Ph.D. degree in engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years specialized experience in transmission planning, software simulations, and IBR modeling.
  • PE License preferred.
