Grand Village is seeking a dedicated Practical Nursing Specialist to join our team. This full-time position involves 12-hour shifts, either during the day or at night, in our Transitional Care Unit (TCU). Our facility is committed to providing exceptional care to our residents, and we invite you to be part of our mission to enhance the lives of older adults in a welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering nursing care to our residents. This includes:
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Documenting care and therapeutic interventions under the supervision of the Director of Nursing/Clinical Director.
- Guiding nursing assistants and other clinical staff during your shift.
- Coordinating resident care and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless service from admission to discharge.
- Monitoring residents' conditions and reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and infection control policies.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of practice.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage.
- Adherence to all safety regulations and facility policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in senior care or healthcare settings.
- Up to two years of experience as an LPN.
