About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Architect to join our team at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As a Senior Project Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and construction of complex projects, working closely with our team to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of architectural plans and specifications for complex projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure that their needs are met and that projects are delivered to their satisfaction
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality projects
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure that our team is always at the forefront of innovation
Requirements
  • BS or equivalent in Architecture, registered in the state of Maryland
  • 8 or more years of experience as an Architect for the planning, design, and construction of complex projects
  • Proficient in Revit and other industry-standard software
  • Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems, sustainability, and integrated design
  • Ability to work with design teams on multiple small projects of a complex scope simultaneously
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work closely with members of the Laboratory community and outside resources to create effective relationships
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $330,000 annually, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, part-time study, and training and development opportunities.
