Job Title: Recovery Navigator

Join our team at Addiction Treatment Services, Inc. as a Recovery Navigator, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Recovery Navigator. As a key member of our treatment team, you will work closely with clients, staff, and leadership to ensure a safe and supportive environment for individuals in recovery.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular program rounds to ensure client safety and well-being.
  • Assist with admitting, discharging, and de-escalating clients as needed.
  • Perform and oversee emergency drills, supervise evacuation and safety drill paperwork.
  • Ensure clients understand their rights and responsibilities, and provide thorough orientation to treatment milieu schedule, rules, and guidelines.
  • Complete intra-office and program mailings, inventory deliveries, and stock inventories.
  • Write client progress notes, assist counselors and nurses with filing progress notes and treatment documents, and communicate program/client needs with leadership and 24/7-hour staff.
  • Continue intake and orientation procedures with new clients.
  • Assist clients with developing treatment plans and identifying resources to overcome barriers to successful completion of treatment.
  • Participate in house meetings, educational groups, and solution-solving activities.
  • Perform random breathalyzers and urine screens.
  • Coordinate with counselors or nurses to assist clients with daily living needs, including clothing, medical, and case management needs.
  • Transport clients to necessary appointments or meetings.
  • Enforce rules regarding passes and visitors.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all clients at all times.
  • Role model good therapeutic boundaries and ethical behavior.
  • Participate in special activities to help clients develop pro-social activities.
  • Oversee client performance of chores and ensure sanitary and cleanliness conditions of the unit.
  • Monitor equipment functioning, including vehicle maintenance and safety, and submit maintenance requests as necessary.
Requirements
  • CPR/First Aid certification (will be trained upon hire).
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • MCBAP certification or development plan with MCBAP required upon hire.
Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and ability to traverse stairs.

Skills and Experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of recovery and various addiction treatment models.
  • Proficient computer and word processing skills.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills.
  • Awareness of maintaining appropriate boundaries in the therapeutic relationship.
Language
