Job Summary:

The Child Welfare Investigative Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of Arizona's children. This position conducts thorough investigations into allegations of child abuse and neglect, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather evidence and build cases. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigations into allegations of child abuse and neglect, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses and victims.
  • Prepare and present reports to management, detailing findings and recommendations.
  • Testify in court as an expert witness, providing testimony and evidence to support cases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including law enforcement, social services, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a comprehensive approach to child welfare.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, policies, and procedures, applying this knowledge to inform investigations and decision-making.
Requirements:
  • At least 18 months of experience in law enforcement or a related field, with a strong background in investigations and child welfare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze evidence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and communication.
