The Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely patient test results to aid in the diagnosis and management of human illness.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient specimens, including blood, tissue, and bodily fluids.
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including automated systems and manual methods.
- Ensure quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate test results, and to communicate laboratory findings and recommendations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Registration by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
- Superior customer service skills and experience in an automated clinical laboratory setting.
This role is part of our Transfusion Services department, working a night shift with 36 scheduled weekly hours.
