Position Overview

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Fund Accountant include:
Collaborating with third-party administrators on daily accounting functions
Consolidating and preparing all fund-level documentation including investor reports, financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, and supporting materials
Preparing SEC filings such as Form ADV and Form PF
Establishing and maintaining internal controls over the external financial reporting process
Identifying, investigating, and resolving reporting and general accounting challenges
Developing reporting policies and procedures in line with new accounting standards
Managing special projects and preparing responses to various information requests
Implementing new accounting software (Investran) to support the growth of the funds and increased data requirements
Engaging with external auditors and providing timely information
Communicating with fund investors to deliver necessary information promptly

The Senior Fund Accountant will report directly to the Controller or CFO based on the specific task or project.

Key Skills and Experience
Strong accounting foundation with a CPA license preferred
Relevant experience in public accounting, private equity, fund administration, financial services, or investment management is advantageous
Proficiency in preparing investor reports, financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures
Familiarity with SEC compliance standards and reporting
Strong accounting system skills and knowledge of financial reporting management tools such as iLevel, Investran, or NetSuite

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
CPA license preferred but not mandatory
3-5 years of relevant experience (public accounting, private equity, fund administration, or investment management)
Familiarity with the financial statement audit process, either as an auditor or in private practice
Proficient in tools such as Excel, Word, and PDF
