Human Resources Assistant

Job Summary:
This critical role will assist the HR Manager with numerous human resource functions, including recruitment, benefits administration, record maintenance, HRIS, employee relations, training, and payroll. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and exceptional customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize HRIS and timekeeping systems for data entry, modification, reporting, and auditing to ensure accurate employee data.
- Manage time and attendance records, including setting up time clock badges, approver logins, and training new users in the time and attendance system.
- Coordinate the full cycle recruiting process, including job postings, phone screens, interviews, background checks, employment verifications, and new hire orientation.
- Assist with benefits administration, including entering and maintaining employee data in carrier sites and auditing benefit accounts for accuracy and compliance.
- Manage company training files, including new hire and ongoing training, and work with department managers to ensure on-the-job training is completed and documented.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees on HR-related questions and concerns to create a positive workplace.
- Assist with front desk administrative operations and customer service.
- 2-4 years of experience in an HR-related role or an Associate's degree with an emphasis in HR and 1 year of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications and other software applications as required, with experience working with HRIS highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of employees, customers, and visitors.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical behavior.
- Bilingual Spanish desired but not required.
- Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Current knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations.
