Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, journal entry preparation/posting, general ledger account analysis, and review of accounts payable coding
Prepare internal financial reports
Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and compliance issues
Manage tax and compliance activities, ensuring timely filing of annual reports, registrations, and licenses
Support insurance renewals, annual financial audits, and tax return preparations
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls
Contribute to the development of new or revised accounting systems, programs, and procedures
Perform additional accounting duties and provide support to junior staff as needed
Engage in other projects as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing and managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment
Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
Complete assignments accurately and timely
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and stress management abilities
High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Desired Skills/Experience:
5+ years of accounting experience
Public accounting experience is preferred
Familiarity with Deltek and/or Prophix software
CPA or CPA candidate

Other Requirements:
Ability to pass a background check, which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Willingness to travel as needed
