Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Leasing Consultant to join our team. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for showing and leasing apartment homes to prospective residents, while supporting the properties marketing plan. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Show and lease apartment homes to qualified prospects, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.
  • Process all required administrative forms, leases, and related information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to resident requests and complaints.
  • Maintain relationships with apartment locator services and local businesses to provide information and materials.
  • Develop and implement an ongoing resident retention program under the direction of the Community Manager.
  • Conduct market research and analyze competitive properties.
  • Maintain the professional appearance of the office, amenity areas, model apartments, and community.
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate sales, telephone sales, and negotiation techniques to achieve leasing goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on lease terms, specifications, and community policies, as well as current rental rates, sizes, locations, and amenities.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company's uniform policy.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An Associate or College degree is preferred.

Skills and Abilities

You will bring:

  • Proficiency in Word processing, Yardi, Blue Moon, and Excel.
  • The ability to use a calculator, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, and key machine.
  • Mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • An analytical ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • The ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong communication skills to read and interpret documents, write reports, and correspond with residents and colleagues.

Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, with occasional exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
