Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Leasing Consultant to join our team. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for showing and leasing apartment homes to prospective residents, while supporting the properties marketing plan. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Show and lease apartment homes to qualified prospects, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.
- Process all required administrative forms, leases, and related information in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to resident requests and complaints.
- Maintain relationships with apartment locator services and local businesses to provide information and materials.
- Develop and implement an ongoing resident retention program under the direction of the Community Manager.
- Conduct market research and analyze competitive properties.
- Maintain the professional appearance of the office, amenity areas, model apartments, and community.
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate sales, telephone sales, and negotiation techniques to achieve leasing goals.
- Stay up-to-date on lease terms, specifications, and community policies, as well as current rental rates, sizes, locations, and amenities.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company's uniform policy.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- An Associate or College degree is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
You will bring:
- Proficiency in Word processing, Yardi, Blue Moon, and Excel.
- The ability to use a calculator, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, and key machine.
- Mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- An analytical ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- The ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Strong communication skills to read and interpret documents, write reports, and correspond with residents and colleagues.
Work Environment
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, with occasional exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
