Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Signal Trainee to join our team. As an Electrical Signal Trainee, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to signal maintenance and repair, including installing, testing, and inspecting signal systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and inspect signal systems and equipment, including automatic block, traffic control, and positive train control systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on signal equipment, including signal lights, switch machines, and electrical switch locks.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with FRA regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with experienced signal workers to learn and develop skills in signal maintenance and repair.
  • Participate in a 52-week paid apprenticeship training program that includes in-class theory and lab work with hands-on skill development in the field.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance; 3-5 years preferred.
  • CDL Class A license required; must secure license within 111 days of hire date.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
