Job Title: Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at UW Health. As a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to work with complex pediatric patients in various settings, including acute care, inpatient rehab, and NICU.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultative and developmentally appropriate habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services to pediatric patients in the domains of swallow, speech, language, and cognition.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive evidence-based patient and family treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes and discharge plans.
  • Work within the context of patient- and family-centered care in a primary and specialty care academic medical center.
  • Seek continual learning opportunities to advance one's own practice and educate others.
Requirements:
  • Minimum - Masters level degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
  • Minimum - Completion of Clinical Speech Language Pathology Fellowship.
  • Preferred - Experience in a medical setting as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Minimum - Wisconsin state license (or eligible) to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within three months of hire.
