Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is a key role in driving revenue growth and customer acquisition for Wave. As a Business Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and sell primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses
  • Develop and implement a territory plan to expand the customer base within the assigned territory
  • Generate sales leads through various prospecting tactics and work every lead from initial contact to sale
  • Place orders through order management software and ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, and billing forms
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Wave Sales Model
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model preferred; 3-5 years
  • Business-to-business sales experience preferred
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets preferred
What We Offer

A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally is between $43,800.00 and $72,500.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.

In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at $54,000.
