Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all purchasing related activities for assigned categories, including sourcing process, price control, proposal analysis, negotiating improved value, awarding and implementing contracts, managing existing contracts, supplier performance reviews, and resolving invoice issues regarding pricing deviations.
  • Obtain maximum value for Quincy Compressor in our agreements regarding cost, quality, delivery, and service levels.
  • Prepare, understand, and present spend analysis of assigned categories/suppliers, understanding key drivers and trends, along with identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Provide prompt and accurate purchasing support to internal customers.
  • Follow-up on supplier quality performance and delivery performance.
  • Analyze and report on market conditions and trends that may affect the price, availability, or quality of purchased products.
  • Ensure that suppliers develop themselves in accordance with our quality and logistic demands and aim for a win-win situation.
  • Ensure suppliers are in compliance with Quincy business practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business/Applied Economics, or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of Purchasing experience required.
  • Experience in production environment is preferred.
  • Experience with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, paint, electronics, wood, etc.) is preferred.
  • Profound knowledge and clear communication of English. Other languages are a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in Microsoft environment with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven experience sourcing from domestic and international suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
