Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement curriculum that focuses on early childhood development, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment for children to thrive and develop their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional skills.
- Communicate effectively with families and parents about their child's development, providing regular updates and progress reports.
- Monitor students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback to parents, ensuring they are informed and engaged in their child's education.
- Develop and implement positive strategies to guide children's behavior, promoting social-emotional learning and character development.
- Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic, and safe, adhering to all school policies and licensing rules.
- Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field (preferred)
- Child Development Assistant or Associate Permit (preferred)
- Minimum of 12 ECE units completed (3 infant/toddler units are required)
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
- At least six months of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool
- CPR/First Aid Certified
The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. approximately 100 times per day/shift. Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, hearing, talking, and repetitive motion are physical requirements of the position.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is $42,000-$55,000, determined based on experience and education. Health Sciences High and Middle College is committed to equal opportunity for all individuals in education and is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
