Job Overview

JOB TITLE: Logistics and Inventory Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Operations Support

REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the receipt and dispatch of goods, order assembly, inventory management, packaging, and data entry into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the shipping and receiving of products, including return merchandise authorizations (RMAs).
  • Utilize shipping platforms such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL for data entry and shipment processing.
  • Handle loading and unloading of trucks and shipping containers.
  • Prepare products for shipment or additional processing.
  • Organize and store finished goods in inventory.
  • Conduct data entry tasks within the ERP system.
  • Assemble and prepare orders for production needs.
  • Perform regular inventory counts of parts.
  • Transport and deliver parts to suppliers as needed.
  • Serve as a material handler to distribute components to designated production lines.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficient in reading and writing English with effective communication skills.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing context.
  • Background in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Familiarity with handling heavy metal materials.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record is essential.
  • Capability to climb ladders.
  • Forklift and pallet jack operation experience is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
