JOB TITLE: Logistics and Inventory Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Operations Support
REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the receipt and dispatch of goods, order assembly, inventory management, packaging, and data entry into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the shipping and receiving of products, including return merchandise authorizations (RMAs).
- Utilize shipping platforms such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL for data entry and shipment processing.
- Handle loading and unloading of trucks and shipping containers.
- Prepare products for shipment or additional processing.
- Organize and store finished goods in inventory.
- Conduct data entry tasks within the ERP system.
- Assemble and prepare orders for production needs.
- Perform regular inventory counts of parts.
- Transport and deliver parts to suppliers as needed.
- Serve as a material handler to distribute components to designated production lines.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Proficient in reading and writing English with effective communication skills.
- Experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing context.
- Background in warehouse operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Familiarity with handling heavy metal materials.
- Experience using hand tools.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record is essential.
- Capability to climb ladders.
- Forklift and pallet jack operation experience is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
