Quality Assurance Specialist

Capewell Aerial Systems seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and final materials. The ideal candidate will maintain records and associated paperwork, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct first piece and in-process inspections, documenting results according to customer requirements and quality standards.
- Perform First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102, verifying dimensional layout and documentation.
- Provide disposition for inspected products and ensure adequate inventory control.
- Inspect finished goods in-process and perform calibrations, maintenance, and storage of measuring equipment.
- Ensure Shelf-Life material compliance and maintain records, data, and logs as necessary.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- A.S degree in a related engineering or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GD&T).
- Understanding of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) reports.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ISO9001 and AS9100 standards is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, utilizing good judgment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and effectively communicate.
Work Environment:
This position does not require personal protective equipment unless on the shop floor, where Safety Glasses are required by all.
Employee in this position must be a U.S. Person, as defined by U.S. export control laws.
