Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Leadership: Direct the engineering team in crafting and executing data systems that prioritize modern architectures and privacy.
  2. Team Development: Mentor and lead a group of Cloud Engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and creativity.
  3. Project Oversight: Manage various projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality benchmarks.
  4. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between the data engineering team and other business units, converting technical jargon into actionable business insights.
  5. Data Integrity Management: Uphold rigorous standards for data quality and consistency throughout the data lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role focused on software development for cloud systems.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience in managing technical teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Willingness to work outside standard hours to coordinate with global teams.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.

Preferred Skills:
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with the data engineering lifecycle.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data warehousing solutions.
