Job Summary:

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Cook Children's Health Care System, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or nurse practitioner(s) in a physician practice or clinic setting. Your primary responsibility will be to provide ambulatory nursing care as directed by physician(s) and/or nurse practitioner(s), including patient and family focused assessment, intervention, and education. You will skillfully and consistently perform daily clinical duties per established policy and procedure.

Responsibilities:

• Provides ambulatory nursing care to pediatric patients in a clinic or office setting
• Collaborates with physician(s) and/or nurse practitioner(s) to develop and implement patient care plans
• Conducts patient and family focused assessments, interventions, and education
• Performs daily clinical duties per established policy and procedure

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing
• Minimum 1 year pediatric nursing experience in a clinic or office setting or equivalent (i.e., Family Practice with heavy pediatric population) preferred
• Current license to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas
• Current CPR certification
