Cardiovascular Provider is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our Bedford Cardiology clinic in Texas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians to broaden the scope and effectiveness of their practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and treats patients according to established plans of care
  • Supports ancillary staff, including sonographers, nurses, and medical assistants
  • Responds to patient calls and orders diagnostic and laboratory tests
  • Prescribes medications and non-pharmacologic therapies
  • Provides health promotions, disease prevention, patient and family teaching, and counseling

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program at the master's level
  • Current authorization to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
  • Current certification from a nationally recognized organization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current authorization for prescriptive authority from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas and Board of Medical Examiners for the State of Texas
  • Current ACLS certifications

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, transporting supplies or equipment, walking for extended periods of time, occasionally lifting or carrying items which may weigh up to 50 pounds, and maneuvering patients
  • Vision (including the discernment of color) and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range
