Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Lead to join our team at Walgreens. As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store in the absence of management, including start-ups of required systems and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
  • Responsible for opening the back door of the store for deliveries and completing product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops to the safe.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers and patients, resolving customer issues, and answering questions.
  • Assist with and coach other team members to work with the warehouse and vendor ordering process, including opening the back door for vendor deliveries.
  • Responsible for registering all related sales on assigned cash registers and maintaining accurate inventory counts.
  • Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed with team members and responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment and assists at the Pharmacy out window as requested.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products and responsible for bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
Requirements
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.
