Environmental Specialist

Clean Earth is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Technician II to join our team. As an Environmental Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of hazardous materials.
Key Responsibilities- Separation and Packaging: Separate, sort, and pack hazardous materials for transport and treatment, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
- Documentation: Complete required paperwork in accordance with Clean Earth's practices and procedures, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Safety Protocols: Follow established safety protocols for assigned tasks, prioritizing the safety of yourself and others.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Equipment Operation: Ability to operate equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Ability to wear company-provided personal protective equipment, including eye protection, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.
- Lifting and Moving: Ability to move or lift 50 pounds with the use of equipment if needed.
- Procedure Adherence: Ability to follow written or verbal procedures consistently.
- Overtime and Flexibility: Ability to work overtime as needed and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
- Powered Industrial Truck Operation: Ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift, and possess a safe driving record.
- Hazardous Materials Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA Regulations.
- Basic Chemistry: Basic chemistry knowledge.
