Job Summary

National Children's Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Early Learning Center. As a Young Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality early childhood education and early intervention for children with and without disabilities in an inclusive educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom leadership and design and implement intervention for young toddlers enrolled in the Early Intervention Program.
  • Supervise and support classroom staff to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Design and implement activities to meet each child's goals and objectives, ensuring that written lesson plans, progress reports, and other pertinent documentation are completed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, clinical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
  • Maintain a clean and safe learning environment, adhering to universal precautions and ensuring the well-being of all children.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development, or a related field.
  • At least 15 credit hours in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development, or a related field, and one year of supervised experience working with children in a licensed District of Columbia Child Development Center or its equivalent.
  • Or, at least 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university, with 15 credit hours in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development, and two years of supervised experience working with children in a licensed District of Columbia Child Development Center or its equivalent.
